Biography
Started out with Bootle and in March 1996 joined Northwich Victoria (1995-96:40+11,21lge) before a £30,000 fee took him to Shrewsbury Town (1997-99:118+10,41) in August 1997. In July 2000 he signed for Brighton & Hove Albion (2000-01:30+40,12), moving on to Oxford United (2002-03:6+20,4) in July 2002. ‘Steelo’ joined Leyton Orient (2004-06:66+20,27) in May 2004, returning to the North West with Chester City (06/07:13+11,3) in October 2006, initially on loan. In November 2010, he re-joined Oxford City (2010-11:41,24) but was sacked in January 2012 for making an alleged homophobic remark on Twitter.
