Biography

An apprentice who turned professional for Huddersfield Town (1975-77:19+7,7lge) in September 1975. Loaned to Hartlepool United (76/77:6+1,1lge) in December 1976, he had a trial at Arsenal and signed permanently for Hartlepool (1978-79:43+4,8lge) in August 1978.

Moved on to Crewe Alexandra in October 1979, making a single substitute appearance for the Alex before joining Nantwich the following month. Playing just once (and scored) in a 1-0 home win over Horwich RMI, 24/11/1979. Switched to Runcorn later that month, he was released by the Linnets in September 1980 and was forced to retire from football due to ulcerative colitis. Later ran a couple of pubs in the Lake District and then a greetings card shop in Grange-over-Sands.
