Biography

A member of the fire service, Tommy was the Dabbers trainer in the 50s but was known to fill in on the left wing once or twice when numbers were short. The tale is told of Nantwich playing at Northwich Victoria one day when Arthur Blunstone went down with a knock on his leg. Tommy ran on, looked Arthur over and said, “You’ll be OK – just stand up and stamp it.” Arthur couldn’t – his leg was broken!!
